These streets...

WOW. Tuesdays in town are so dull!
Everyone looked so unhappy&dressed head to toe in grey...
Finally after some scouring i found this guy
and took a quick snap of what he was wearing...
i really liked his style, especially the denim waistcoat
and leather jacket combination which are both hot trends this autumn.

from head to toe hes wearing RayBan (eske) glasses accessorising the top
half of his outfit along with his thick silver chain, which matches
the 'biker' look with the thick leather jackets topped off with a
denim waistcoat which he told me was £46 from a unique make
at urban outfitters.

I really like the contrasting characteristics in this outfit from the 'bad boy'
rough effect of the thick leather jacket and denim waistcoat to the
high necked buttoned collar with a tight bow tie.

The bottom half of his outfit consists of cream 'chinos'
which are my least favourite part to the outfit...
i enjoy the style and the character of them,
just not the colour, because of the white shirt and
harshness of the black the warm tones in the trousers
don't really tie in well.
however i really like his floral patterned socks on show and
black patent brogues which are £70 from Office...

All in all i think this guys has great style! His accessories of the man
bag, studded bracelets, socks (£4- Mr Ben's vintage store), chain and glasses all give it a subtle
edge in combining it as a whole to portray his creativity and personality
which i think is a really important aspect in personal fashion.

The tones in this outfit harmonises well with a constant colour theme of black
and white-with a hint of blue accessorised with silver jewellery.
The lace shorts (£35-Topshop) make the outfit interesting, although they
may be black they have an interesting shape and lace texture.
The belt brings the outfit in at the waist creating a mid focal point to what shes wearing,
and also giving it more of a shape.
the silver buckle matches with her bangles and beaded sandals from river island.

I really like her bag as its woven straw/wood,
although it is from River Island its not your typical bag material,
its perfect for a busy shopping day to fit some bags into or to take to the
airport before jetting off on a summer holiday.

I think she has put her clothes together well, although it may be dark
colours it still has a summery feel to it with her bare legs and sandals.
Topshop yet proves again to be a successful summer shop supplier

today i spotted these beauties. I LOVE THEM.

but there oh so pretty to look at :)

Rockness!

For the third year in a row me and seven of my friends packed up our favourite 'festival buys' and jumped on the bus(5 hours each way) to ROCKNESS! £180 later& a ridiculous amount of alcohol consumed we danced the weekend away to our favourite DJ's on the scenic banks of Lochlomond in Inverness.
This year the heavens opened and we were constantly soaking-typical Scotland! but after a few Strongbows (vodkas) and amazing music, nothing like that seemed to make it a bad weekend, it just made it better-somehow? (apart from camping on a wet hill of course, oh and having the exact same £40 Homebase 7 man ten as every other person).
one of the sunnier moments of the weekend!

Anyway favourite shops this year for festival buys amongst us lot seemed to be Topshop and H&M, oh and Primark for socks-they were AMAZING. 24 hours before the festival i realised id lost my favourite wellies! which were also from Primark... but had done me surprisingly proud for the previous years. Due to my great sadness over my £5 wellies, my mum was kind enough to buy me a pair of classic hunter wellies-which is always a bonus i  suppose.Cheers mum.
My hunter wellies were £59 from Schuh, in 'classic black'.
The woman told me id need to wash them when i bought
them because the packaging left a grey patchy effect on
them but i actually really liked them like that so i just left them.

Over the festival weekend there was various photographers, and radio stations recording people in the buzzing atmosphere of Rockness.Somehow over the past 3 years we managed to make it into the festival Annual guide, we got filmed by e-festivals (such a cringe, Scottish accents on TV are a no! no!) also interview by radio one and by channel4- the last two i haven't seen or heard yet, for my own dignity i might just leave it like that!
our attempt at a 'human pyramid' in the festival annual guide 2009.

Rockness is never a letdown. Every year has been different, fashion wise, the characters you meet and the memories you have-or don't...
Each year Ive taken a massive bag full of clothes-too much for 3 days but over packing is my biggest weakness, i always get shouted at for it but my motto is you dress to how you feel and you don't know that until the time comes, so you may as well be prepared... aha.
Here's some various photos of good times we've had...

THE BOW! Sophie became so attached to the bow we stole of
a randomer at Rockness 2009,  it was our way to find her in a crowd as shes a 'drunken wonderer'
she even wore it at home... until her dog ate it.

What a legend. This security guard (Dave?) was amazing,
he gave us neon paint and told funny jokes.
as Ke$ha would say "i like your beard".

A Happy Emma&Lucia after Vampire weekend,
wearing a American Apparel hoodie, Ralph Lauren polo shirt,
AMAZING yellow ray bans, both topshop shorts and red hunter wellies.

chain belt-All Topshop.Me (in the middle) wearing my flower headband and a army shirt from
Urban Outfitters £38, Lucia to the right wearing a blue dress £18 from Topshop and a very festivally denim
waistcoat from New Look £25...

12 Tasty Shots.yum.

ahh . What a guy!

Some subtle arm 'artwork'...

Sophie ehh.. styling? a flavoured oxygen mask

Just before we got filmed by
channel4 in 2008 we had a massive paint fight
and graffitied our name on the massive ROCKNESS
letters at the top of the hill, Jim King the creator of the festival
apparently now keeps them in his living room at home. Which
makes me happy.

Today it is hot.
And when i say hot i mean just over 20 degrees Celsius, which for Glasgow is a SCORCHER. The grass in the garden is a perfect emerald green with a large abundance of perfectly formed daisies- and it's dry! For once when i stand up my denim shorts don't have an exceeding large wet patch, which for most people in my flat tenement (who didn't know i was sitting on the grass) would understandably think id 'had an accident'.

Annnnnnnyway i decided this would be a perfect opportunity for me to start this blogging business. I've read many blogs and loved the whole 'idea' of them, but apart from being 'too busy', 'too tired' or any other lazy excuse under the sun, I just never really thought anyone would be interested in reading mine, but hey who knows.
